Help Somalia Foundation works to develop and promote solutions concerning people on the margins of mainstream service provision. As a catalyst for change HSF focuses on new and emerging issues. Some of HSFs work that is in development is highlighted here.

General information, advice and advocacy:
We offer a drop in advice service at our office premises from Monday to Thursday to increase access of information. (10am to 4pm).We assists with filling in forms, translations, phone calls as well as referral. We also provide an outreach service for those who are elderly, disabled or otherwise housebound.
Education ProgrammeSupporting Somali families, children and young people to reach their full potential in education achievement by offering tutorials and supplementary classes, parent empowerment and improving link between schools and home.
Training and EmploymentEnsuring Somali people can participate in the employment and skills markets by providing training and support that is tailored to individual needs
Youth Activities To improve young person’s ability to develop a positive attitude towards their future by providing mentoring and recreation schemes.
Health PromotionWe promote awareness to improve access to services for physical as well as mental illnesses or managing stress, depression and changes, health eating, health seminars, interpreting at GPs and hospitals.
Cultural Events and SeminarsWe organise wide variety of great cultural and seminars events for the whole community.
Leadership role by providing, collective voice for Somali communities:
Championing the needs and views of the Somali community across London Boroughs with high number of Somali residents at local and strategic level.
